Ah the World of Warcraft. What a top idea for a fantasy party! All welcome, orcs, elves, hobgoblins, assorted monsters and heroes.

This is the sort of thing that Dungeons and Dragons followers could only dream of. All in graphic immersive colour and content. And what better could there be for an avid World of Warcraft fan than a WoW party?

The first thing you would need would be the right kind of people or creatures to invite to your party. And then lets get down to business with the invitations. If it is a mature age WOW party, a quick trip down to the magic shop to buy two dozen rubber horror severed heads might be the go. These would make awesome invitations. If its the youngsters, maybe some goblin masks or swords and shield combinations.

The same could be said for the party supplies and decoratinos. Plenty of room for adaptation here. Eerie music. Loads of swords, helments, and two handed battle axes and we are not talking about the mother in law! Maybe a dragon or two, she can play that role.

Another area you could really have fun with for your World of Warcraft themed birthday party is the food. Give it all bright colours and names from the game. You could even claim that it was sourced from a sustainable troll farm in Azeroth. You get the drift!

Too many people believe a myth about red heads, and that is that you cant wear lipstick, wear red clothing......or even pink!!!

And i just want to help put a stop to this myth!!

Red heads look amazing with red lipstick, its just all about getting the right shade....someone with a cool skin tone (more pink in their skin...like the traditional English rose complexion) can wear a beautiful blue based red......someone with a warm skin tone (more yellow based skin tone) suit an orange based red.....now i dont mean you have to wear orange.,...i still mean red...just orange based!!

Dont always believe myths!!! There are some hair/makeup/clothing rules that are there for a reason....but some other "rules" are there to be broken.....its good to push the boundaries because thats when you can come up with a new style for yourself and that can be the most liberating thing!!

Go and reinvent yourself and come up with your own style!! Dont just follow trends but be a trend setter!!

M.A.C Quite Cute

M.A.C has a new range called QUITE CUTE

 

and it really is quite cute :)

 

 

I LOVE the visual for the new release....its so girly and animated!! reminds me of a Japanese themed cartoon!!

this is the range;

a beautiful eyeshadow quad of pastel colours....5 colourful lipsticks, 4 glosses, 3 gorgeous blushes with the heart in the middle, 3 nail polishes and some false lashes!

these are released in time for Easter as well as spring in the U.S.....here in Australia it's actually Autumn but i really believe these colours still work as they brighten up cold and drab days!! :)

Women and tattoos.......

Tattoos are one of those things that you either love them or hate them!! My dad has both arms covered in tattoos (sleeves) from back when he was younger...and my older brother Kane (26yrs old) has a tattoo on one of his arms....

anyways...so as i was saying you either love them or hate them!! then there is the other debate about tattoos on women!!!

 

personally i love them, in moderation though! I think that a woman can have a tatoo and still look classy and feminine....its all about the size, where you have it on the body and also what is the picture/design.....does it have meaning? or did you just slap a picture anywhere on your body just to be able to say "i have a tattoo"!!!

I LOVE THIS DESIGN.......i dont have any tattoos at this stage, and i may never get any! but i always thought if i was going to get some i would want my maiden name written on my wrist and possibly this star design trickling down the back of my neck!!

these days, having a tattoo is seen as very normal and popular...whereas years ago you were viewed as a troubled kid, naughty, outcast or emo if you had a tattoo!

its such a big thing in hollywood at the moment, it seems that lots of famous people are getting inked!

I really do love this design....its not something i would get done on myself....but i like where it is on her body, and she can cover it when she likes!

now there are lots of people out there who get it wrong!!! and once again this comes down to personal taste and opinion.....

i just hate it when people put any design on their bodies.....and its there forever for the whole world to see!!

one thing you need to take into consideration when getting tattooed is; how will it look on you when you are old? when your skin starts to stretch and wrinkle? will you like having tattoos on you when you're a grandmother/grandfather?

whenever i have thought of getting a tattoo...i have pictured my grandmothers with tattoos and it has turned me off instantly!

In saying that, we only live once....so if its something you have thought about for a long time and have really looked into all the pro's and con's and there is a specific design you like that has meaning to you...then go for it!!! just dont go slapping anything anywhere on your body cause you will regret it!!

for instance......

honestly i find this tattoo so tacky and wrong and way too big! I'm sure the lady loves her tattoo and really that is all that matters....but to me, this is an example of too much on a woman!!

GaGa Interviewed By MSN!

Where are you at with the new record? Is it done yet?
Actually, yes it’s in mastering right now. We just finished cleaning up all the mixes and I had a really nice spiritual experience last night. I pulled the car over and just sat in the car by myself and listened to the whole album and I called everybody and I said I think it’s done. So it’s in mastering right now and I’m so happy with it. I’m really proud and it feels good to finally give birth to it. It’s been many weeks of labour pains.

Where were you driving yesterday?
It was in New York. I was leaving Manhattan to drive to Montreal.

You have a new single out, “Judas.” Growing up you went to Catholic school, is that correct?
Yes.

How did your Catholic background inform the songwriting for that track and the album?
Well, I wouldn’t necessarily say that my schooling informed the songwriting on that record in particular. “Judas” is a metaphor and an analogy about forgiveness and betrayal and things that haunt you in your life and how I believe that it’s the darkness in your life that ultimately shines and illuminates the greater light that you have upon you.

Someone once said to me, “If you have no shadows then you’re not standing in the light.” So the song is about washing the feet of both good and evil and understanding and forgiving the demons from your past in order to move into the greatness of your future. I just like really aggressive metaphors — harder, thicker, darker — and my fans do as well. So it is a very challenging and aggressive metaphor, but it is a metaphor.

How will that metaphor play out in the music video?
Well the video, in essence, suggests that [pauses] forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand and that… how do I say this? The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.

What’s the concept?
Well, I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem. And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.

You talked about “Judas” being about forgiveness. Can you forgive the person who leaked it a week early?
Yeah! You know, I don’t care. It’s OK. At the end of the day the song was finished and it was ready to go so it’s always difficult on the promotional end because we have to hurry up and get everything ready to go but we were prepared. I’d already shot the video and it went exactly as I’d wanted it to and it looks really beautiful and I’m just excited the fans got to hear the music. I don’t obsess about things like that.

I have a question from one of our Facebook fans named Chelsea. She would like to know if the magnitude of your success has dawned on you yet?
It hasn’t entirely dawned on me but the magnitude of the fans and their love is something that is very clear to me and that’s what I focus on more than anything. I just love and cherish them so much. I, in many ways, still think of myself as the underdog. I don’t feel that I’ve even begun to show the fans or the world what I’m capable of as a musician so I’m excited for the future. I don’t believe I’ve even put a dent in the pot, to be honest.

What ways did you challenge yourself with the songwriting and music on the new album?
I really pushed myself musically. My favorite thing about the album is the songwriting is really, really beautiful and the melodies and choruses — any one of the songs could be stripped off the track and played at a piano and it’s just a really awesome piece of music. We spent so much time orchestrating the record, it’s very epic and dramatic and theatrical. Start to finish one may even imagine that it’s a soundtrack to a musical. It’s really special to me and I put my heart and soul into it and I feel I’ve grown so much as a songwriter.

What’s the wildest idea that you’ve had but couldn’t pull off?
Most of them we pulled off eventually. Sometimes we just don’t have the time to get it all finished. I have so many ideas that sometimes I fear that I’ll never get them all out before I die. Haus of Gaga is really amazing and I love my friends so much for committing to our vision together and we almost always get everything out there and polished and ready. What’s most important to me is that the ideas are executed well.

This album continues the same sort of fascination with pop culture as religion. It’s just a much deeper and in-depth association with pop culture as religion. On “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster” I was analyzing fame in the context of the way that only I could understand it as somebody who didn’t have it yet. So it was more the art of fame and now that I have my fans and I have quote-unquote The Fame, the album is more about pop culture as religion, young voices and generation as religion, secular thinking as religion, moving forward and modernity as religion. So going back to your earlier question about Judas as a religious reference, it’s less of a reference to institutionalized religion and more of a cultural reference in relation to pop culture as religion.

How will you represent those ideas in the forthcoming tour in support of the album?
Well, I’m fascinated with iconography and I’m fascinated with the way that iconography is taught in terms of education to the world, whether it be through institutionalized religion or through symbolism or through movies or through music. If I could put it in one sentence I would say, if they were not who you were taught that they would be, would you still believe? In a lot of ways it’s about faith and hope but not in the religious sense. It’s about faith and hope in culture especially in a time all over the world where many are in need of hope, in need of understanding, in need of love, in need of lack of prejudice, in need of no judgment, in need of acceptance. How can we look to culture for faith?

What icons have you put faith in throughout your life?
I put my faith in my fans everyday.

I’m a first year transfer at the University of California, Davis (UCD). I’m a Political Science and Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian Studies double major. I just want you to know that I LOVE you and ultimately UCD loves you! I mean, those who matter of course. The rest are just haters because they can’t be as beautiful and talented as you. Yeah, I sometimes get a little jealous but I always remember how you tell everyone to remember their own beauty, and recognize their own talent. So, obviously I’m not jealous anymore, duh. Because I’m such a huge fan and have dreamt of the day that I get to see you live, I want you to come to my school’s Pavilion theatre. I’m sure you probably get a ton of requests about things much similar, but I’m not coming in empty handed. See, Davis is not your average little town. It’s eclectic. The diverse styles, cultures, ideas, and drama make it a town to visit! A true college town. I’ll show you what Davis has to offer, and you won’t be disappointed.
