Rihanna reportedly has a number of half-siblings in Barbados from her father Ronald Fenty’s past relationships.
The singer is said to have gotten on well with half-sister Samantha, 30, and half-brother Jamie, 27, while growing up and still meets up with them when she returns to the island.
The ’S&M’ star also has another half-sister named Kandy, whom she met when she was 15. The 32-year-old pharmacy assistant introduced Rihanna to her daughters Brandy, now 14, and Crystal, 11.
Speaking of her relationship with Rihanna, Kandy said: “I saw her a few times again after that initial meeting but it wasn’t long after that she moved to the States to pursue her singing career and I didn’t really hear much from her again. But I’m very proud of what she’s achieved.”
All three of her half-siblings have different mothers. Speaking of the moment Kandy told Fenty she was his daughter, he said: “I guess you could say I was shocked. But I was a bit on the wild side and something of a ladies’ man back in my early days.
“Once Kandy told me who her mother was and explained what had happened, I said, ‘Well, OK, welcome to my family’.”
Samantha is now married and works as a policy consultant for Caribbean regional governments, while Jamie is a graphic artist.
Rihanna also has two younger brothers from her dad’s 14-year marriage to her mom Monica - Rorrey, 21, and Rajad, 15.
She recently claimed that men are intimidated by her success.
