Lady Gaga finally speaks out about Madonna comparisons!

Oh Lady Gaga.

What the hell is your problem!?

Swear words were the name of the game in a new interview with NME, where Gaga finally spoke out about the Madonna comparisons.

The first fact is, Born This Way absolutely does sound like Express Yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that at all - but why not just admit it…instead of trying to deny it! Why defend it, there’s nothing wrong with paying homage to someone as long as you credit them or at least tell the world of your inspirations.

Gaga says…

“I am not stupid enough to put out a record and be that moronic.”

Are you kidding?! You are that stupid. Once again, why not just admit it? Stop letting yourself get backed into a corner. It worked well for Beth Ditto when she paid homage (not copied) Justify My Love/Vogue.

It got even better once the interviewer pressed on (thank you for this mr interviewer!) Gaga started to get a bit pissy….

No. Listen to me. Why the f**k? I’m a songwriter…Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody? That’s retarded. If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. It’s the same on that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first f**king artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist. It means I’m f**king smart. Sorry.

The similarities are definitely in the chord progression, but they are also in the vocals on the song. Even if you left Born This Way out of the discussion, she’s still ripped off Madonna a million times over. She rounds it off by bringing God into the mix…apparently he told her it was okay to copy…

I feel like honestly that God sent me those lyrics and that melody…There’s no way for something that pure to be wrong.

God’s not going to help you, Gaga…especially the way you are dragging his name (lol) through the mud.

It’s really hard to like an artist if they are ripping on other peoples styles without even giving the courtesy to tell people who she was inspired with. Regardless of if the songs are good or not, it’s just annoying as hell. I just don’t get why it’s wrong to be inspired, what the hell Gaga? - Lady
