I can thank my husband for introducing me to Paramore, first. His old band and I were helping his brother clean out his storage room and he came across All We Know Is Falling. Also thanks to him, I was just getting into the punk, metal, and hardcore-style of music at the time and was always drawn to bands with women in them. He told me he almost saw them once at the Cornerstone Christian Music Festival and that he thought I might like them. I listened to a couple songs, but didn’t think much about it. However, after hearing the name, I started to notice it popping up every once in awhile, so I started asking about them. Several people I talked to told me that they weren’t too bad, but that they were bad live. Not overlly interested in bands that are not good live, I just kind of forgot about them. Later that year, my husband won tickets to Warped Tour in Noblesville, IN and I noticed Paramore were playing. I decided that we might as well stop and listen to give them a fair shot. I ended up staying for the whole show and was just blown away! They had awesome stage presence, the guys played beautifully, and Hayley sounded awesome! I also loved how happy they seemed to be and how it seemed like Hayley couldn’t stop smiling-something you don’t see in that kind of music a lot. Then, knowing they were all christians was like the cherry on top. I just couldn’t believe that all these good things were in one band! From then on, I was constantly trying to learn more about them, who they were, and what they were about. I will never forget the Live Journal post Hayley posted, talking about Misery Business-it made me respect them all the more!
Now, I think my husband wishes he never introduced me because that is all I ever talk about! Despite the challenges they have come across, I pray that they never forget who got them there, and that He can take them far! They are an awesome group with so much to look forward to! Keep it up and good luck towards the future, Paramore!!
