'Twilight' of the morning

So while the movies leave something to be desired I am a fan of the ‘Twilight’ books. Not on the the crazy ‘OMG!!!!!! Rob Pat is like the best edward ever!! Go team Edward!!!! *reduced to tears*’ Ya NO!!!!! But I have to say that I am a fan of the soundtrack to the first movie. It’s pretty awesome sauce.

Debbie Harry says she 'could have been Madonna!&#039

While Debbie Harry is an icon of her own, she still thinks she could have been as big as Madonna is now.

She reveals that she could have risen through the ranks of pop stardom just like Madonna has, if only she was more driven. She says…

“Did I ever meet her? Yes. I worked with Mary Lambert [film-maker who directed Madonna’s Like A Virgin and Material Girl videos] on my hit I Want That Man video. She took me to Madonna’s birthday party. But we are from totally different ways of thinking,” she said in an interview with Q magazine. “She is so totally career-orientated and showbiz-minded. I missed the boat on that one. If I had thought more I would probably have been Madonna before she was.”

While she admits to not being a fan, she does share her appreciation for M’s drive and talent. - Lady

“She had some really great songs. She’s a great performer and a great dancer. Anyone who has that determination and drive, you have to give them credit. But she wasn’t my favourite,” she added.

Elena's kinda being dumb at this point

Like, why would she not want to be a vampire? Does she want to grow old while her boyfriend stays young forever? I don’t want TVD to be exactly like Twilight or anything, but I think becoming a vampire would be best for Elena, for EVERYONE, because of all the crap they’re all in. She won’t be able to die, she’ll be with the one she loves forever (even if it’s not the one that EVERYONE wants her to be with *cough cough Damon cough*), and she’ll be able to help with getting rid of Klaus instead of sitting around and doing nothing because she’s human.

Okay, yeah, that DOES sound like Twilight. But you know what? Maybe Stephanie Meyer had the right idea. Maybe, just maybe, Bella’s reaction to vampires and danger and eternal life is just a little more believable than Elena’s reaction.
